Manchester United sign JADON SANCHO

One of the best young players in 2021, Jadon Sancho, has agreed to join the European giants, Manchester United.

After two years of speculation, Manchester United finally reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the young English star. Dortmund rejected the first bid of £67m at the start of June, and now it looks like the final agreed fee will be £72.9 with no add-ons.

What do we know so far?

Unlike last year where an agreement between the clubs couldn’t be reached, this year there was a certain optimism in the Manchester United board that they would be able to sign the young player.  The two sides could not agree on a fee in the last couple of months, as there were disputes over how much would be paid in add-ons.

The English player had signed a gentleman’s agreement with Borussia Dortmund which stated that he would be able to leave the team if another team showed up with a better offer.

Jadon Sancho Stats

After making his Borussia Dortmund debut in 2017, he has made 137 appearances, scoring 50 goals and 67 assists along the way.

Last season Jadon Sancho played an incredible season, scoring 16 goals and 20 assists in 38 games for the Bundesliga.

Who is Jadon Sancho?

Jadon Sancho is an English international that, believe it or not, started his career in the blue side of Manchester. However, after not making a single appearance on Pep Guardiola’s team, in 2017, he decided to transfer abroad to Borussia Dortmund.

What’s next for Manchester United?

After securing the signature of Jadon Sancho, it looks like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is putting the final pieces together and might try for the title next season. With the arrival of Sancho, there will be some competition on the right-wing, as Greenwood, Rashford, and Martial all play that position.

However, the Red Devils’ main priority is strengthening their defence, and it looks like Raphael Varane will be the main target, as they are looking for a centre-back partner for Harry Maguire.

Another transfer target for Manchester United is Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid, as they are trying to bring some competition among right-backs since Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the only right-back at the moment.
