Sergio Aguero ruled out for three months with heart arrhythmia

Because of a heart problem, Sergio Aguero has been told to rest and will be sidelined for the next three months.

In a statement, the 26 time La Liga winners said that Aguero has undergone a diagnostic and therapeutic process by Doctor Josep Brugada and will be resting during the next three months.

The preliminary diagnosis suggests that former City number 10 is suffering from heart arrhythmia. The 33-year old striker complained of chest discomfort and asked to be taken off in the 40th minute in Barcelona’s draw against Alaves on Saturday.

The former City player tweeted on Monday saying that he is in good spirits and wants to thank everyone for the many supportive messages.

The new Barcelona caretaker coach Serhi Barujan will most likely have to play Luke de Jong upfront for the next upcoming games. Barcelona’s next match is tonight, in the Champions League, against Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine where they will have to win if they want to get past the group.
