Gambling Companies Granted Euro 2020 Tickets and Hospitality Worth Almost £7,000 to Newcastle MP

A Member of Parliament from North Staffordshire was found to be given hospitality worth almost £7,000 by gambling companies in the UK as well as tickets for three England matches at the EURO 2020.

The MP in question is Aaron Bell, who once worked for one of the biggest online gambling giants, Bet365, and watched England’s games against the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Germany on the courtesy of gambling companies in the UK.

Due to recently proposed changes in the gambling laws in the UK, gambling companies have been “flirting” with MP’s so that the proposed changes would go through, and UK gambling firms can certainly afford this as the remote gambling sector made the biggest profit during in 2020.

However, the politician who is a member of the Conservative Party reported all of the corporate hospitality and gifts he received by the operators on the financial interests register, which is in line with parliamentary requirements.

This comes right after The Guardian revealed that 28 MP’s 28 MPs took advantage of almost £225,000 in wages and freebies from the gambling industry.
