From 2023, the city of Las Vegas will host a Formula 1 nighttime race.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be one of three races in the United States, joining Miami and Austin, that will happen next November.

In recognition of its position as the fastest-growing city in America, Las Vegas was honoured to host an F1 race for the first time in 1981 and 1982. This will be the first time that F1 cars have raced on the famous Las Vegas Strip, with the circuit sweeping past renowned hotels and casinos.

The 3.8-mile (6.12km) course will have a 14-turn track and peak speeds of around 212mph (342km/h).

The circuit will have a length of 24 kilometres, with three straights and a high-speed cornering sequence in addition to a single chicane section. The Grand Prix will be completed over 50 laps.

In association with Live Nation Entertainment and the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA), as well as Founding Partners Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International, and Wynn Las Vegas and Presenting Partners MSG Sphere, Resorts World Las Vegas, and The Venetian Resort, the F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas will be promoted.

On Wednesday evening, F1’s announcement was made at a star-studded event in Las Vegas, with Liberty Media President and CEO Greg Maffei and F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali.
