Carissa Moore started chasing the waves on Waikiki Beach at the age of five. The Hawaiian athlete is now one of the pro women surfers with an astonishing career record.

She won the gold medal at the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games in 2020.

Furthermore, she holds five World Surf League Women’s Championship titles from 2011, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2021.

Stephanie Gilmore

  • World Surfing League Champion in 2013 by winning the Duke’s Wahine Longboard Pro 
  • Women’s Longboard World Champion at the age of 18. 

Maya Gabeira

Maya Gabeira is a big wave surfer who has set the world record for the most significant wave surfed by a woman so she can break her record two years later. 

In January 2018, she surfed a wave in Nazare PT that was 20.8m high.
Moreover, she mastered a 22.4m wave at the WSL Nazare Tow Surfing competition in February 2020.  

Aside from her Guinness World Records, she has several awards, including the ESPY’s Best Female Action Sports Athlete Award.

Kassia Meador

Kassia Meador began surfing when she was 14 years old.

Based on her impressive records, the New York Times called her “the queen of noseriding” based on her remarkable records. As time passed, life had other plans for her, as she became an influencer and photographer.
So now, she owns her surfing brand called Kassia + Surf.

Malia Manuel

At the beginning of her surfing career, Malina Manuel became the youngest 14-year-old surfer to triumph in the US Open of Surfing.

Silvana Lina is a self-taught professional surfer. Interestingly, she started surfing on a wooden board that she made herself.

  • the Movistar Peru Classic in 2010, and 
  • the famous Swatch Women’s Pro Trestles in 2017.

Sage Erickson

Sage was a regular girl raised in the coffee shop of her mom. 

At the age of 9, she slowly started becoming interested in surfing. Precisely in the period when she moved from California to Hawaii.

The year 2019 brought up her full potential as she won 2 Qualifying series and secured her place in the Championship Tour for 2020
