She is famous for being the World Boxing Council champion in the super welterweight division. In addition, Mia gained an IFBA lightweight boxing world title and the IBA championship in Beijing, China. In 1997, she made her pro boxing debut, knocking out Angellica Villain in 54 seconds and earning the nickname “The Knockout.”

Her boxing career ended in 2017 with 65 fights, 49 wins, 14 losses and 2 draws.

She also holds three Guinness World Records – a female boxing champion with the longest reign, the longest reign as a Four-Belt undisputed boxing champion and the Most Bouts Undefeated by a female world champion boxer.

Lucia Rijker comes from Holland. So what do we know her for? Three things mainly: kickboxing, acting, and most importantly, boxing.

Although she retired in 2004, she’s kept her boxing legacy all these years by setting records and through her accomplishments. The press even referred to as “The Most Dangerous Woman in the World”.

Lucia Rijker’s professional boxing career began on 19th June 1988 by knocking Vivien Gonzalez in the third round of a twelve-round match. She then resumed her boxing in 1996, where she knocked out Melinda Robinson in the first round of the match. 

Fast forward, by 2007, she had already had seventeen matches, none of which she’d lost, meaning  Lucia Rijker had a record of 17-0.

Although boxing is considered a man’s sport, these boxing ladies are breaking stereotypes as we speak, with their agility, determination and, most importantly, strength.
